Snagging Inspections for New Builds
A snagging survey is an inspection which checks a new build property for minor faults that may need rectifying prior to completion of the sale. There is an increasing level of pressure on builders and developers to build homes quickly, which means that new builds often suffer from issues resulting from unfinished work. This means the new owner is left to deal with the issues and foot the bill. We will inspect internal and external areas of the property to identify all major and minor defects.
When purchasing a property, it is always a good idea to instruct a snagging survey prior to moving in as it gives you time to discuss and negotiate with builders and developers. However, snagging surveys can generally be completed within 2 years of your warranty date. This must be confirmed with your specific developer, as timescales will vary.

We will detect minor defects such as leaking taps to significant defects such as subsidence. Our detailed survey will identify all major and minor faults.
You will receive your snagging inspection report within 5 days of the inspection taking place. It will detail specific technical information regarding the property's construction. If you require, we can pass on a copy of the report to your property builder or developer. Once you have received the report, we will be available to answer any questions you may have.
