New Build Inspections in East Sussex
If you are purchasing a new build home then it is advisable to instruct a snagging report/inspection. This survey identifies defects and or unfinished work on new build properties.
Why do I need a Snagging Inspection?
As the demand increases for new homes, so to does the pressure on builders and developers to construct them quickly. This demand for properties, and the limited time developers have to build them, has created an issue with new builds suffering with from on-going issues.
This is where a snagging survey comes in. This survey is specifically designed for new build homes and focuses on identifying these issues before you move in. Having this survey equips you with the information you need to negotiate with developers or builders in order to get any issues rectified without the cost falling to you.
It is advisable to instruct a snagging survey prior to moving in. This allows you time to negotiate with the developers/builders ahead of your moving date. Sangging surveys can generally be completed within 2 years of your warranty date but you should always check this with the individual developer as time frames differ.
